The year is 2366...

That's how the brief cap on Kanda's background begins. That's because Kanda is from the future. There are flying cars and artificial intelligence where he's from. A lot of cool gadgets in the future he takes for granted, so being flung to the past will definitely confuse him. And annoy him so much. He likes being able to turn those little packets into full course meals with the push of a button.

There was a war a long time ago, WWIII, but it is forbidden to speak of it. The result of it was not good, in fact, it was as bad as it could possibly get. It's unknown what weapons were used but whatever they were, they wiped out most of the current nations. It left the world in near-constant darkness, with daylight only last five hours, and only a few Cities remain. Most were rebuilt on top of the old ones but a few weren't damaged in the initial war. These are called the Cities That Never Sleep and in them, the citizens truly never sleep. Only those who live outside the Cities can get any decent amount of sleep.

A few fun facts about Kanda:

♔ He hates being called by his full name and unless he's given someone permission, will bristle and possibly hurt them when called by his first name, Yuu.

♔ He likes long walks on the beach and holding hands swordsmanship and fighting. And sex. Lots of sex.

♔ He likes watching TV shows about crime scenes like CSI: NY and Criminal Minds.

♔ He rarely reads, having gained an aversion to books and libraries.

♔ His Lavi is presumed dead. Hence, his aversion to books and libraries.

♔ He is a vampire, although he's just a newbie.

♔ He has no real preference towards men or women. Note: Currently he is sterile, seeing as he has a special condition, so if you want to play with him on the TLH ladies, please remember that.

♔ And he's a cock tease. :| I have no idea why but he is.
